Pride Week Celebration – June 9-12, 2026
Dear Families,
We are excited to announce that our school will be celebrating Pride Week, beginning with our division-wide Pride Day on Friday, June 5th. This is a special time for our school community to come together to celebrate diversity, inclusion, and the importance of belonging for all. To kick things off, students and staff are invited to wear bright, rainbow-inspired clothing on June 5th, the division’s PRIDE DAY to show their pride and support!
The following week, from June 9–12, we will continue the celebration with Pride Flag Color Days. Each day will highlight a different color or flag, and students are encouraged to dress accordingly:
- Tuesday – Orange (Healing) & Red (Life)
- Wednesday – Yellow & Green (Sunlight & Nature)
- Thursday – Light Blue, Pink, White, Black and Brown (Inclusive flag & Trans Flag Day)
- Friday – Blue & Purple (Harmony & Spirit)
Throughout the week, teachers will focus on curricular outcomes, which will focus on themes like kindness, respect, identity, and inclusion, helping students understand the importance of celebrating and supporting one another.
We also invite each class to make posters and flags and take a short community walk to show our Pride!
We invite families to join us at the Queen City Pride Parade on Saturday, June 13th at 12:00 p.m. There will be a Regina Public Schools group, and students are welcome to walk in the parade and show their support alongside members of our school division. It’s a joyful, affirming community event—and a great way to wrap up our Pride Week!
Thank you for supporting our efforts to make our school a safe and welcoming place for everyone!
Warm regards,
The GSA Team
